Dear
Richard,
Thank
you for your inquiry concerning using MapQuest maps for
your
nonprofit organization. As a general rule, nonprofit organizations
may
print MapQuest maps free of charge if they intend to use
fewer than 20
different maps and do not intend to distribute these maps
to a large
audience. If your plans for MapQuest maps meet this criteria,
please
use this email as authorization to use MapQuest maps in
your
publications.
For
non-profits, a "large audience" is defined as
the distribution of
more than 500 copies of the material containing the maps.
If the
material will be published for a large audience, you must
obtain
permission by emailing PermissionTeam@aol.com.
For
all nonprofit uses MapQuest requires:
1)
The MapQuest logo must be maintained in the upper-left hand
corner
of
the map and the copyright statement be legible in the
lower-left hand corner of the map.
2)
Under the map the phrase "Map provided by www.mapquest.com"
be
printed in text no smaller than 8 pt.
3)
The MapQuest map images cannot be altered in anyway.
If
you are creating a Web site, you may be interested in using

"Business

Dear Mapquest:
What
are the costs for using one of your generated maps on the
non-profit website of a town? The town is Damascus, Virginia
(population 900) and we want to upgrade our existing site
with
good maps, photos, etc.
Thanks
for any information.
