Saturday from 9:00 to 11:00 a. m.
The Post Office is closed for lunch from 1:00 until 2:00.

The trail
registration and information station is located at
the Damascus Post Office, one block north of Laurel Avenue
on Reynolds Street and 1.0 mile north of the intersection
of U.S. 58 and VA 91.
Hikers'
mail drops should be addressed as follows:
YOUR NAME
GENERAL DELIVERY
DAMASCUS, VA. 24236.
In lower left bottom
corner please write,
"Please hold for northbound (southbound) A.T. hiker."
By doing this, the postmaster will hold your mail for a month
or so instead of the normal ten days.
