Public Works Crew Member (Seasonal)
The Town of Damascus is seeking a dependable individual for a Public Works seasonal position, which runs from April through September, Monday - Friday. Primary responsibilities include seasonal landscaping maintenance by operating zero-turn mowers, push mowers, string trimmers, and chainsaws to maintain town parks, trails, and public areas. Requirements:
- Ability to perform physical labor in various weather conditions.
- Experience with landscaping equipment (preferred but not required).
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Request for Proposals: Emergency Watershed Protection (EWP) Project
The Town of Damascus is currently accepting Proposals from qualified firms to provide the following professional services: Engineering and design services related to the project are prescribed by NRCS and include the following primary objectives: 1) remove debris and sediment in waterways and floodplains; (2) restore the hydraulic capacity of impaired waterways and floodplains; and (3) protect channels from additional erosion using treatment measures such as armoring, flow defection, grade stabilization, and bioengineering.
Sealed proposals will be accepted until 4:00 PM on May 04, 2026. Proposals received after the deadline, postmarks notwithstanding, shall be rejected. The Town of Damascus reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals.
